About
About No Nasties
No Nasties was born from lived experience and a long personal journey into wellness. Dee Day's first introduction to natural health began more than 30 years ago in Thailand, long before wellness became mainstream. The philosophy stayed with her, but it became deeply personal when her daughter developed an autoimmune condition four years ago, triggered by mould exposure, forcing their family to reassess every aspect of modern living.
Over the last four years, Dee has worked intensively to understand the root causes of health imbalance, speaking with leading experts in autoimmune conditions, nutrition, endocrinology and dermatology, and studying scientific research almost daily. The journey involved extensive testing, from gut, microbiome, mould and toxin screening to vitamin, allergy and genetic analysis, alongside consultations with specialists across both conventional and complementary disciplines. Through this process, it became clear that health outcomes often result from multiple interacting factors: a combination of environmental exposures, biology, lifestyle and inherited predispositions.
Out of necessity, the family transformed their home and lifestyle into a genuinely toxin-aware environment, learning firsthand how difficult and confusing it can be to navigate the modern wellness landscape. No Nasties exists to translate that experience into something practical and useful, with expert insight and clear guidance to help others make informed decisions about their health without overwhelm or extremes.
Today, No Nasties is a platform dedicated to clean living, education, wellness media, events and evidence-informed lifestyle choices, created to share what has been learned, to support others navigating similar challenges, and to help build a future where optimal health is accessible, informed and grounded in both experience and science.

Why NO NASTIES Exists
Dee Day's interest in natural health began more than 30 years ago, rooted in an early appreciation for how environment, nutrition, and lifestyle interact with long-term wellbeing. That interest became deeply personal when her daughter developed an autoimmune condition, prompting an intensive journey to understand the underlying factors.
Environmental exposure testing became a critical part of that process, revealing patterns and triggers that conventional assessments had not identified. But the testing itself was expensive, hard to access, and often presented in clinical language that required specialist interpretation. For most families, this level of insight was simply out of reach.
NO NASTIES was created to bridge that gap - to make clear, evidence-informed health insight accessible to everyone, not just those with the resources to seek it out. Every article, event, and initiative on this platform reflects the same principle: practical information, transparently presented, designed to support informed decision-making.
"Access to clear, trustworthy health insight should not be a luxury."
