20 Mar Banana flapjacks sugar and dairy free
I love flapjacks, they’re so moreish, but also so calorific, take out the sugar and the butter and things soon change! Oats are a good carb, that give you energy slowly, avoiding a sugary spike. However these banana flapjacks have dates in which keeps them sweet.
**Ingredients:**
400g oats
2 handfuls of pitted dates
3 medium bananas
1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Mix it all up
Blend the dates roughly in a food mixer with some water, which helps get them back out. Add to the oats in a mixing bowl. Blend the bananas until smooth. Mix everything together with the cinnamon and then spoon it onto a baking tray and bake at 170c for about 35 mins.
Doesn’t get much easier than that!
Slice it up whilst it’s warm and leave to cool.
